Ogun Group Alleges ₦1.27bn Hospital Project Irregularities Linked to Senator Yayi
The Ogun Good Governance Forum has alleged that hospital and primary healthcare projects valued at ₦1.27 billion were included in the 2026 budget for Ogun West but cannot be found in the listed communities. The group named projects in Itele, Wasimi, Imasayi, Mowe, Ifoyintedo, Ayetoro and Itori. It alleged that facilities expected to receive beds, drugs, diagnostic tools and other equipment still lack them. It also questioned two separate allocations totalling ₦420 million for a primary healthcare centre in Itori. The forum said it would petition the EFCC and ICPC, request procurement records from relevant agencies and seek a court-ordered forensic audit if explanations are not provided within seven days. Senator Solomon Adeola, known as Yayi, had not publicly responded to the specific allegations at the time of the report.
