Emeka Offor Foundation Gives 6,000 Bags of Rice to 3,000 Widows in Anambra

The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation distributed 6,000 bags of 50kg rice to 3,000 widows in Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, on August 23, 2026. Foundation chairman Tony Obi said the rice support is provided four times yearly to help widows reduce hunger and better support their families. He added that the foundation also provides housing, medical care, clothing and educational materials for vulnerable residents. The foundation said it has supported widows through rice distributions for about 30 years. Representatives of the Anambra State Government, community leaders and beneficiaries commended the initiative and called for continued assistance for vulnerable households.
