Lagos Govt Rescues 11-Year-Old Boy from Alleged Torture by Mother
The Lagos State Bureau of Public Defender has secured the removal of an 11-year-old boy from an abusive home environment. The child reportedly suffered repeated beatings with electric cables and other objects, resulting in multiple injuries. After receiving the report, the Bureau alerted the Nigeria Police Force in Ikorodu. A thorough investigation at the Igbogbo Division led to the arrest and court charge of the boy’s biological mother. The child has been placed in a secure shelter for care and protection. The suspect remains in custody pending further legal proceedings as authorities work to uphold and defend the rights of the minor.
