Floyd Mayweather’s Daughter Ordered to Pay $50m Over 2020 Stabbing Case
Iyanna “Yaya” Mayweather, daughter of boxer Floyd Mayweather, has been ordered by a Texas court to pay $50 million to Lapattra Lashai Jacobs over a 2020 stabbing incident. Court documents reportedly show that Jacobs was awarded $40.105 million in compensatory damages and $10 million in exemplary damages. The compensation covers past and future physical pain, mental anguish, impairment, loss of earnings and disfigurement. Mayweather pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in 2022. The incident occurred at NBA YoungBoy’s home, where Jacobs was injured and later underwent surgery. The court also ordered Mayweather to provide documents on her bank accounts, income and contractual earnings toward satisfying the judgment.
