Anti-Immigration Activist Assaulted During Manchester Street Debate
An activist known as Young Bob set up a stand in Manchester city centre under a banner reading “Reform should be more radical” to debate immigration, colonisation and remigration. Tensions rose when he argued against automatic settlement rights for people from former British colonies. Onlookers began throwing water and other objects. Video footage shows Young Bob being kicked, his phone smashed and his equipment stolen before a bystander intervened to stop the assault. Greater Manchester Police arrested three suspects on suspicion of robbery and assault. The activist said both his cameras and phone were damaged and described it as one of the most high-profile assault cases police had seen. Despite the attack, he plans to return to the same spot for further debates, accompanied by a security team. He remains a vocal figure in Britain’s anti-immigration movement with support from prominent right-wing personalities.
