Wike Pledges to Resign as FCT Minister if Tinubu Loses FCT and Rivers in 2027

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says he will resign if President Bola Tinubu loses the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State in the 2027 presidential election. Speaking to members of the Apo Mechanics and Traders Association in Abuja, Wike said his position in the cabinet should depend on his ability to deliver political results in areas where he has influence. He said a coalition of politicians from different parties is working to support Tinubu’s re-election and allied National Assembly candidates in the FCT. His remarks came as the FCT Administration continues discussions over relocation and land allocation issues affecting traders and mechanics around Apo Mechanic Village.
