Human rights lawyer and political activist Dele Farotimi says Nnamdi Kanu’s assessment of Nigeria has been validated by recent events. Farotimi argued that the government has failed to address systemic problems and often silences dissenting voices while violent criminals remain free. He said this has deepened instability across the country. He added that ignoring rational criticism could create room for more extreme forms of agitation. Farotimi said he has engaged separatist agitators in Igboland, Yorubaland and other parts of Nigeria.
