Employees Allege Harassment and Police Intimidation at Equipment Hall, Company Disputes Claims
Current and former employees of Equipment Hall Limited and Wowbii Interactive have alleged workplace harassment, intimidation, assault, threats and unpaid entitlements. The allegations concern the companies’ operations in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, with several workers claiming they faced pressure, dismissal or threats after raising complaints. One employee disputes the company’s claim that she was suspended and sought by police over alleged theft. She says she was never issued a suspension letter or police invitation, and alleges she was forced out of the office by the CEO alongside armed officers after demanding outstanding payments and speaking up about harassment. The company maintains that a criminal investigation into alleged theft and product diversion is ongoing. It denies that the dispute should be viewed simply as employee victimisation. The wider allegations of sexual harassment, assault, threats and the handling of internal complaints have not been independently verified, and the parties’ accounts remain in dispute.
