Three Soldiers Killed as Troops Repel Attacks, Neutralise 16 Terrorists in Adamawa
Three soldiers were killed as troops of Operation Hadin Kai repelled coordinated terrorist attacks and neutralised 16 insurgents in Adamawa State. The operations took place between September 30 and October 1 in Gombi, Garkida and Garaha. Troops reportedly recovered AK-47 rifles, pump-action rifles, magazines and ammunition after an ambush on a terrorist enclave in the Boima area. The military said an air strike also targeted fighters and motorcycles detected by surveillance, while troops at the 226 and 232 Battalions repelled separate attacks on their positions. Injured personnel have been evacuated for treatment, and mop-up operations are continuing across the affected areas.
