Three people were killed after a clash between local vigilantes and youths in the Kpakungu and Gbeganu areas of Minna, Niger State. The unrest reportedly began on Saturday night after vigilantes moved into Kpakungu to arrest suspected miscreants. Police said a vigilante member allegedly shot a resident, triggering protests by youths. Protesters later blocked the Minna-Bida Road before violence spread to Gbeganu, where two more deaths were reported. Police have deployed tactical teams, reopened the road and begun efforts to arrest those linked to the violence, including the suspected shooter.
