Mars Igboicus: Exploring War, Memory and Lost Heritage Across Civilisations
This research project compares how wars and upheaval damaged historical sites, artefacts and records across different societies. It draws links between Moravia, ancient earthworks in the Americas, Egypt, Westminster, Benin and Omuagu. The discussion references a 1677 history of Moravia and argues that kingdoms often lost cultural memory after conflict. It also examines Benin plaques, quartz rings associated with Lolo Mgbeke Nnele, and the symbolism of white udo as peace. The project proposes a possible connection between Jesuit historical documentation in Moravia, Benin and Kongo before periods of political ruin. This is presented as a continuation of research published under the working title "Mars Igboicus 2026."
