The presidency has rejected Peter Obi’s recent statement that his life is at risk. Senior presidential aide Bayo Onanuga described the allegations as unfounded and misleading. Onanuga said Obi exaggerated a minor parking incident at an airport to blame the government. He accused the former Anambra governor of using baseless claims to attract sympathy and distract from his credibility issues and business interests. The Tinubu administration insists it remains focused on its reform agenda. It has no interest in undermining Obi’s political aspirations.
