Michael Jackson Estate Challenges Paris Jackson’s $1.16m Legal Fee Request
Michael Jackson’s estate has opposed Paris Jackson’s request for $1,165,481.90 in legal fees after she won a dispute over payments previously made by the estate. Paris challenged $625,000 in bonuses paid to estate lawyers in 2018. A court ruled in her favour in April and ordered the money returned to the estate. The estate accepts that Paris should receive reasonable reimbursement because her case benefited the beneficiaries. However, executor John Branca argues that her legal-fee request is excessive and includes work linked to other disputes. The court will decide the final amount.
