Petrol Price Rises to ₦1,409 Per Litre at MRS Stations in Abuja
MRS and other filling stations in Abuja have raised the pump price of petrol. A survey found that MRS outlets now sell petrol at ₦1,409 per litre, up from ₦1,370. The new price was reported at MRS stations in Kubwa, Katampe and Gwarimpa. Ranoil and AA Rano also increased their prices from ₦1,400 to ₦1,410 per litre. The increase comes after petrol prices recorded a slight decline in the previous week. Fuel marketers have also called for any proposed government-backed price discount to cover independent filling stations, not only NNPCL outlets. Brent crude traded at about $104 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate traded near $91 per barrel.
