Suspected ISWAP Member’s Wife, Three Children Surrender to Troops in Borno
A woman suspected to be the wife of an ISWAP member and her three children have surrendered to Nigerian Army troops in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. The family reportedly arrived at the 202 Battalion Forward Operating Base in Abbaram on October 25 after leaving a terrorist enclave in Zarmari village near Bula Daloye. The woman said she fled in hopes of reuniting with her husband, whom she believed had previously surrendered. They are in military custody for screening and further investigation as operations continue to encourage insurgents and their families to leave terrorist enclaves in the North-East.
