Mayorkun Celebrates 10 Years Since His Breakthrough in Music

Afrobeats singer Mayorkun has marked 10 years in the music industry with a post on X celebrating his journey. The singer, born Mayowa Emmanuel, rose to prominence in 2016 after signing with Davido Music Worldwide and releasing his breakout single, “Eleko.” Since then, he has released the albums The Mayor of Lagos and Back in Office, as well as several hit songs. Davido also recently promised him a Tesla Cybertruck while celebrating his progress.
