Two Suspects Arrested Over Alleged Transformer Vandalism in Anambra

Two men have been arrested over the alleged vandalisation of a transformer at Enugwu-Agidi in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State. The suspects were apprehended on October 7 by operatives of Operation Udo Ga-Achị. Security officials said cables and other exhibits were recovered, and the men were taken to Abagana Police Station for preliminary investigation. The case is expected to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka. The electricity distribution company said transformer vandalism disrupts power supply to communities and increases the cost of repairs and equipment replacement.
