Kano Governor Swears In Sanusi Bature as Information Commissioner

Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa has been sworn in as Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs. Former Speaker Balarabe Saidu was also sworn in as Commissioner for Solid Mineral Resources at Government House in Kano on Friday. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf tasked Bature with improving public communication, raising awareness about drug abuse and working with relevant agencies. He urged Saidu to help develop the state’s mining sector, create jobs and tackle illegal mining. The Society of Nigerian Broadcasters’ Kano branch congratulated Bature, citing his experience in journalism and public communication. It pledged to support him in his new role.
