TikTok Influencer Detained in Kano After Boyfriend’s Death
Popular TikTok creator Fati Cele is in custody with the Kano State Police Command. She was detained as officers investigate the circumstances of her boyfriend’s fatal injuries at her home. Sources say Cele raised the alarm over a fire in her residence. Her boyfriend, cosmetics trader Ismail Makaye, was rushed to hospital but later died. The police spokesperson confirmed her detention but gave no further details, citing an ongoing investigation. Makaye has been buried according to Islamic rites. Investigations by the Kano police and follow-up statements are pending.
