South Carolina Woman Sentenced to 35 Years for Killing Estranged Husband’s Companion
Michelle Gladys Bingley, 43, was sentenced to 35 years in prison after being convicted of murder and other charges in the shooting death of Tineseing Lachell Johns. The court handed down the sentence on October 29, 2026, following a three-day trial in Colleton County, South Carolina. Prosecutors said Bingley tracked her estranged husband to his mother’s home using his Google account. She found him in Johns’ car and fired into the vehicle during a confrontation. Johns was found with a gunshot wound and later pronounced dead. Bingley told investigators she had believed her husband was unfaithful and said she fired to scare him. She also acknowledged that she had killed someone. The jury convicted her of murder, aggravated domestic violence, possessing a weapon during a violent crime and firing into an occupied vehicle.
