Police Arrest Four Suspects Over Alleged Electricity Infrastructure Vandalism in Calabar
The Cross River State Police Command says it has arrested four suspects over the alleged vandalism and theft of electricity infrastructure in Calabar. Police said the arrests followed the interrogation of an initial suspect, which led operatives to locations around Murtala Mohammed Highway, the Pepsi area and a dumpsite in the Harbour area. The alleged vandalism was reported at Agbo Ntoe Layout on Boulevard Road 2, off Parliamentary Extension. Police said two of five people initially questioned were released after preliminary investigations, while investigations continue into the roles of the remaining suspects. The command said anyone found responsible for vandalising or receiving stolen electricity materials will face the law.
