Why Nigerians Must Question Politically Convenient Intellectuals Ahead of 2027

A growing concern in Nigerian politics is the rise of influential professionals who appear to change their principles once political patronage is involved. Credentials, polished language and media visibility should not be mistaken for integrity. Some commentators condemn public officials in one moment, then vigorously defend the same conduct when their political interests change. Education and expertise are valuable, but they do not automatically guarantee honesty, independence or consistency. As 2027 approaches, Nigerians should assess arguments carefully, examine public records and judge political voices by their consistency. The country needs scholars, lawyers and commentators who can challenge their own allies rather than rent out their conscience for access and influence.
