UTME 2026: Complete List of Banned Items & Mandatory Biometric Verification

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has reinforced strict security measures for the 2026 UTME. Electronic gadgets and personal materials are fully banned inside all CBT halls to curb malpractice and standardise procedures. Candidates must leave mobile phones, smartwatches, cameras, Bluetooth devices, USB drives, pens, notebooks, ATM cards and any written materials outside the exam centre. Violation attracts immediate disqualification, result cancellation and possible future registration bans. Biometric verification is now the only entry requirement. Fingerprint checks will confirm attendance. Any verification failure must be resolved on site before candidates can sit the exam.
