My Prediction About Nigeria’s Next President

After a brief viewing, I formed a troubling picture of Nigeria’s next president. I believe a new president is inevitable, and these are the patterns I noticed. He first reconciles religious, political and ethnic factions. He then makes partial progress in reducing the cost of living and begins with moderate public approval. However, security worsens sharply while he appears unconcerned. Nigerians’ bank accounts are taxed to repay a personal foreign loan, and complaints are met with laws and decrees targeting criticism and alleged hate speech. Yorubas protest bitterly, while Igbos appear more supportive. Northerners eventually rise against him. He then disappears from public view and is replaced by a man in military uniform, in a transition that is not entirely bloodless.
