Louisiana Teacher Charged With 25 Sexual Offenses Against Two Pupils
Marisa Noel, a 31-year-old teacher at Teche Elementary School in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, was arrested on April 13 after a two-month investigation into alleged misconduct with a fifth grader. Authorities later added charges when a second victim came forward. She now faces 25 counts, including first-degree rape, ten counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, and two counts of possessing child sexual abuse material. Additional charges include unlawful communications and using a computer to solicit a minor. Noel has been fired and is held at St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. In Louisiana, a first-degree rape conviction can carry a life sentence.
