Sowore Reportedly Abducted by Armed Men in Ado-Ekiti
AAC presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore was reportedly abducted by armed men in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, on Friday, October 30, 2026. The incident allegedly happened at Tawakalitu Restaurants and Catering Services, where Sowore was said to be attending campaign-related activities. Witnesses said the attackers forced him away and vandalised parts of the restaurant, including tables, chairs and vehicles parked outside. Posts on Sowore’s verified social media accounts said his whereabouts were unknown. The AAC campaign team has called on the police, the Department of State Services and other security agencies to investigate urgently and ensure his safety. Some witnesses alleged that the attackers were political thugs linked to the APC, but this claim has not been independently verified.
