Court Dismisses Emeka Ike’s ₦10bn Suit Against Wike’s Aide, INEC
A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed Nollywood actor Emeka Ike’s ₦10 billion fundamental-rights suit against Lere Olayinka, an aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and the Independent National Electoral Commission. Justice Salim Ibrahim upheld the respondents’ preliminary objections, ruling that the suit was incompetent and improperly constituted. The court also dismissed the substantive case for lack of proof. Ike had alleged that Olayinka shared his confidential voter-registration details online, including information about the transfer of his registration from Imo State to Abuja. The case was filed as FHC/ABJ/CS/1272/2026.
