Trump Tells Tennessee Supporters They Would Applaud Even His “Stupidest Things”
US President Donald Trump told supporters at a rally in Tennessee that their loyalty was so strong they would applaud even if he said “the stupidest things.” He made the remark while discussing the warm reception he receives at his campaign events. Trump said he visited Tennessee to thank voters despite repeatedly winning the state by wide margins. He again repeated his unsupported claim that the 2020 US presidential election was rigged against him. The rally was held as Republicans intensified mobilisation ahead of the US midterm elections. Trump later urged supporters to vote for Republican candidates, telling them to act as though he was also on the ballot.
