PIG Forecasts Tight 2027 Presidential Race, Gives Tinubu Slim Edge

The Political Intelligence Group (PIG) has projected a closely contested 2027 presidential election, with Bola Tinubu winning by a slim margin if the poll is free and fair. Its convener, Lai Omotola, presented the forecast at a news conference in Lagos alongside the group’s November electoral map. PIG’s map projects the APC and NDC to win 13 states each, and the ADC to win 11. Omotola said young voters could have a major influence, and the group expects turnout to reach 40 per cent. He also raised concerns about campaign conditions, divisions within the APC and alleged AI-generated names on INEC’s preliminary voters’ register. The group says it will publish further electoral assessments in November and December. These figures are PIG’s projections, not election results.
