Presidency Accuses Peter Obi of ‘Political Fantasy’ Over 2023 Election Claim

The Presidency has criticised Peter Obi over his continued claim that he won the 2023 presidential election. Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, said Obi was “fat on ambition but drunk on political arrogance.” He argued that the Supreme Court’s judgment had conclusively settled the election dispute. The Presidency also said Nigerian voters, not candidates, decide election outcomes. It expressed confidence that Tinubu would secure broad support in the 2027 election.
