A new, unreviewed theory suggests that the Great Pyramid of Giza may have been designed to preserve mathematical and astronomical knowledge in its dimensions and proportions. Researcher Sefy Levy argues that calculations based on the pyramid’s height, base and sloping sides produce figures similar to lunar cycles, the movements of planets, and constants such as pi and the golden ratio. For instance, one calculation produces 27.5, close to the Moon’s roughly 27.55-day orbital cycle. Levy also links the pyramid’s shape to ancient Egyptian creation traditions, including the sacred benben mound. He speculates that it may have served as both a symbolic monument and a lasting record of knowledge. The claims remain speculative and have not been peer reviewed. They are not yet evidence that the pyramid’s builders intentionally encoded these values.
