Tinubu Says New Army Formations Are Now Operational in Zamfara, Kebbi, Oyo and Osun

President Bola Tinubu says the Nigerian Army has operationalised new formations in Zamfara, Kebbi, Oyo and Osun states. He said the move will place troops closer to vulnerable communities and improve response to security threats. The President also said the Federal Government is accelerating work on new barracks and depots in Abuja, Ekiti, Ebonyi and Kogi. According to him, the Osun facility has been completed. Tinubu added that the government is supporting military personnel through improved welfare, including a recent pay increase. He said service members and their families need stronger support as deployments often affect entire households.
