Dangote Raises Petrol Gantry Price to ₦1,265/L, Up ₦100 in Eight Days
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased its petrol gantry price by ₦65 per litre, from ₦1,200 to ₦1,265. The new price takes effect on Saturday. This is the refinery’s third price increase in eight days, bringing the total increase over the period to ₦100 per litre. Its coastal price was also raised from ₦1,582,380 to ₦1,669,545 per metric tonne. The refinery asked customers to return existing Authorisations to Collect for repricing before loading resumes. Marketers say the increase could push up depot and pump prices, adding further pressure on transport costs and consumers. Industry observers link the volatility to international crude prices, foreign exchange, freight charges and logistics costs. Dangote Refinery imports part of its crude feedstock, leaving its pricing exposed to global market movements.
