Actress Rita Edochie has denied reports that she told an Abuja court she never made social-media posts about Judy Austin. Rita said she has not yet appeared in court and accused unnamed people of spreading false claims ahead of the next hearing, scheduled for September 29, 2026. She maintained that she is prepared to defend herself in the case. Judy Austin had earlier filed a lawsuit against Rita, seeking damages, a retraction and an apology over alleged defamatory posts. The dispute remains before the court.
