A Simple First Claude Code Project: Build an Expense Tracker

A simple expense tracker is a practical first project for learning with Claude Code. Build it for one person, without user accounts or payment features. The app should let me enter an amount in naira, date and note. It should show the total for a selected month, save entries after a browser refresh and allow me to delete a mistaken entry. Include sample data and clear instructions for running it. Test it by adding two expenses, refreshing the page, deleting one entry and confirming that the monthly total updates correctly. A page may look complete while its saved data is still faulty. What other requirements would you add before asking an AI coding agent to build this?
