Kano Court Remands Man Found on Bridge in Alleged Suicide Attempt
A Kano Magistrate’s Court has remanded Sulaiman Bacirawa over allegations that he attempted to take his own life. He was reportedly found on a bridge by security personnel from the Hausawa Police Station and was brought down safely. Reports say he was holding a placard appealing to the state governor for help because he has children. The court said it lacked jurisdiction to hear the matter and ordered his remand in a correctional facility until August 20, 2026.
