Court Remands Five Delta Police Officers Over OG Millan’s Death
Five police officers have been remanded in custody after appearing before the High Court in Asaba over the death of Delta musician and delivery rider Oghenemine Ogidi, known as OG Millan. Justice Marshal Onome Umukoro ordered ASP Usman Nuhu, ASP Onoloko Dauroupamo, ASP Okoh Kelechi, Inspector Goodluck Kingsley and Inspector Omonigho Ahweyevu to be held at Ogwashi-Uku Correctional Centre. The case has been adjourned to June 15, 2026, pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions. Human rights advocate Harrison Gwamnishu welcomed the court appearance but criticised poor communication with the victim’s family. Relatives say they learned of the hearing through activists and have yet to see the autopsy report or receive regular updates from authorities. The matter continues to draw public interest, with rights groups and the family calling for transparency as the legal process unfolds.
