16-Year-Old to Appear in London Court Over Murder of 14-Year-Old British-Nigerian Teen

The Metropolitan Police say they have charged a 16-year-old boy from Romford with the murder of 14-year-old British-Nigerian student Eghosa Ogbebor. He will appear before Thames Magistrates Court this weekend. Officers were called to Woolwich on April 2 after reports of a shooting. Medics tried to save Ogbebor but he was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the police statement, the suspect was first arrested on April 4 and released on bail. He was re-arrested on April 9 and charged on April 10. Three other teenagers arrested in connection with the case have been released on bail as inquiries continue.
