Adedipe Urges Estate Firms to Build Systems That Outlive Their Founders
Prof. Biodun Adedipe has urged estate surveying and valuation firms to build systems that can sustain growth long after their founders leave. He spoke at the 2026 Heads of Practice Assembly of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Lagos State Branch. He said durable firms need documented policies, defined procedures, efficient processes and disciplined workplace practices. Staff should understand their roles and deliver value even when the founder is absent. Adedipe identified strategy, systems and people as key pillars of sustainable organisations. He also advised founders to separate personal finances from company funds, invest in talent and embrace collaboration. Other speakers called on real estate professionals to adopt transformational leadership and use emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and new building materials, to improve efficiency and help address Nigeria's housing deficit.
