Troops Arrest Alleged Arms Fabricator, Three Gunrunning Suspects in Plateau
Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have arrested an alleged illegal arms fabricator and three suspected gunrunners in coordinated operations across Mangu and Barkin Ladi local government areas of Plateau State. The operations, conducted between October 7 and 11 after intelligence reports, led to the arrest of four suspects. Troops recovered a fabricated revolver rifle, a pistol, an AK-47 barrel, an AK-47 magazine and 42 rounds of ammunition. Preliminary interrogation reportedly indicated that ammunition was bought for ₦3,000 per round from a security agent. The suspects and recovered items have been taken to the Operation Enduring Peace headquarters for further investigation.
