Sokoto Police Rescue 10-Year-Old Boy Found Alive in Sack, Arrest Suspects
Police in Sokoto State have arrested suspects in separate anti-kidnapping operations and rescued a 10-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted in Gidan Madi, Tangaza LGA. The boy was reported missing on August 11. Police said detectives later intercepted two people on a motorcycle carrying a sack. The suspects fled during a chase and abandoned the sack, where the child was found alive. The boy was taken to Gidan Madi General Hospital for treatment and later discharged. He allegedly told investigators that he was lured into a room, sedated and placed in the sack. One suspect has been arrested, while investigations continue. In a separate raid in Tudun Doki Village, Gwadabawa LGA, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit arrested a suspected member of a gang allegedly linked to kidnappings and illegal levies in parts of Sokoto State.
