Pregnant Woman Found Murdered in Colombia as Police Search for Missing Baby
A 21-year-old woman who was eight months pregnant was found dead in Cali, Colombia, days after announcing that she was expecting a baby girl. Police said her body had multiple stab wounds and that her unborn baby had been removed. She was reportedly last seen leaving her boyfriend’s family home on a motorcycle after receiving a call from a woman she had recently met at a centre for expectant mothers. Her family believed she was going to collect gifts for the baby and attend a medical appointment. Authorities say more than four people may have been involved. A reward has been offered for information that could lead to arrests and help locate the missing baby. Her mother has appealed publicly for the child’s safe return.
