Adeleke Promises Post-Election Probe of Osun Campaign Killings and Violence

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke says an Independent Commission of Inquiry will be set up after Saturday’s governorship election to investigate reported killings and violence linked to the campaign period. The commission will examine the circumstances surrounding the incidents and recommend action against anyone found responsible, regardless of political affiliation, position or influence. Adeleke also promised a support and compensation framework for families of victims, stressing that political contests should never cost lives.
