Keyamo Condemns Benue Blockade, Calls for Fair Media Coverage of Political Attacks

Festus Keyamo has condemned the reported prevention of Peter Obi from reaching the venue of a visit in Benue State. He said political disagreements or allegations of sponsored protests do not justify blocking any candidate from moving freely or campaigning. He also criticised what he described as partisan media coverage of political confrontations. According to him, attacks on opposition figures are often framed differently from similar incidents involving APC candidates. Keyamo urged the media to report such incidents fairly, regardless of the party involved. He said voters should express anger or dissatisfaction through the ballot box rather than violence during political campaigns.
