Ejiofor Demands Security Action After Two Okigwe Residents Are Killed
Human rights lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor has called for urgent security action in Okigwe, Imo State, following the reported killing of two residents. The men, identified as Onyeribe, also known as Nke-Nke Enyi, and Jude, known as Oba Benin, were reportedly abducted by armed men in Umuanuoke on October 14. Their bodies were later discovered, according to Ejiofor. He urged the Imo State Government and security agencies to investigate the killings, dismantle armed criminal networks and prosecute those found responsible. He also warned that persistent violence could force families from their communities and deepen fear across the area. Ejiofor said no political, ethnic or self-determination cause should be used to excuse attacks on innocent residents.
