Doris Ogala Apologises in Court as Judge Reserves Ruling on Bail
Nollywood actress Doris Ogala apologised before a Federal High Court in Lagos after her alleged disruption of an earlier sitting. She was accused of shouting and singing in the courtroom after being remanded, an incident the judge said delayed other cases. Ogala, who is facing allegations of cyberstalking, cyberbullying and attempted extortion involving Pastor Chris Okafor, pleaded not guilty. She told the court she regretted her conduct and promised it would not happen again. The court heard arguments on her bail application but reserved its ruling until November 6, 2026. Ogala was returned to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending the decision. Her lawyer argued that the matter arose from a failed relationship and said he would ask the Attorney-General of the Federation to withdraw the charges. The prosecution urged the court to impose strict bail conditions, including limits on contact with witnesses and social-media posts that could affect the case.
