Russian Drone Hits Kyiv-Warsaw Train After Boris Johnson’s Train Passes Area
A Russian drone struck the locomotive of a Kyiv-Warsaw passenger train in Ukraine’s Volyn region, about two kilometres from the Polish border. No injuries were reported, and passengers were evacuated or briefly asked to leave the train. Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was travelling on a separate train that had passed through the area before the strike. Early reports suggested he was aboard the affected service, but later accounts clarified that he was not. Johnson and other European officials were returning from a security conference in Kyiv. The attack came during a wider overnight Russian assault involving hundreds of drones, renewing concern over strikes on infrastructure close to Poland and the NATO border.
