Singer Miguel Speaks Out Over Racist Attacks and Threats Targeting His Family
R&B singer Miguel says he, his partner Margaret Zhang and their family have faced racism, harassment and threats over the past year. He said Zhang has been targeted with anti-Asian abuse, while cruel comments have also been directed at their child. Miguel stressed that racism, stalking, invasions of privacy and attacks on children are abuse, not mere opinion. The singer said he understands that public figures face criticism, but maintained that his family should not be targeted. He added that legal action has been taken and will continue where necessary. Miguel and Zhang welcomed their son, Angel, in 2024 and are expecting their second child.
