A man has mourned the death of his younger sister, Faith Amise, who was killed during an attack on communities in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State. The attack reportedly happened in the early hours of Sunday, August 16, 2026, affecting communities in Mbazun Ward, including Mbaterem, Ayaba, Ikpur, Yina, Aboajio and Ukpen. Several people were reportedly killed and others injured. The Ukum LGA chairman, Jonathan Modi, visited the affected areas and condemned the violence. The bereaved brother appealed for prayers and support for his family.
