DHQ Debunks AI-Generated Video Attributed to Chief of Defence Staff Oluyede
The Defence Headquarters has dismissed a viral video that allegedly shows Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Oluyede making partisan political comments. The military said the footage was created using artificial intelligence to deceive the public, misrepresent the CDS and damage the reputation of the Armed Forces. DHQ said the statements in the video do not reflect Oluyede’s views. It reaffirmed that the Armed Forces of Nigeria remains professional, apolitical and committed to its constitutional duty of defending the nation. Nigerians were urged to disregard the video and rely on official military communication channels for verified information.
